The mission of SIFE is to provide tertiary students with an opportunity to make a difference in their communities and to develop leadership, teamwork and communication skills. SIFE students worldwide accomplish this through learning, practising and teaching what they have learnt in their academic discipline to enable others to participate more fully and effectively in the world.
SIFE students work together, with the help and guidance of the staff member and business advisory group, to create innovative activities that teach others about enterprise. These activities are called outreach projects. Students also develop ways to fund their projects, manage themselves, publicise their activities, network with local, national and international business executives and have fun.
SIFE students focus is to encourage enterprise and improve the global economy. Each chapter prepares a written annual report and an oral presentation describing the projects that have been undertaken and the results achieved. At the National and World Cups; the report and presentation are made to a panel of business judges who determine which chapter has conducted the most effective program.
SIFE is empowering university students to make a difference today while realising the full potential they have to create a better world as the entrepreneurs and business leaders of tomorrow. As these students succeed in helping others, a powerful and lasting transformation takes place within them. This is what we at SIFE Monash truly endeavour to achieve.
Beginning in 2007 with 4 members with 1 project, SIFE Monash has now grown to a team of 41 active members with a portfolio of 4 projects. We only anticipate that our team will continue to grow strength to strength in the coming years.
